Create a Quiz Using the New Quiz Editor

The new and improved Quiz Editor has a smart interface that makes it similar to the Lessons Editor in terms of interface design.

With the new Quiz Editor, you can add Google images (protected via SafeSearch), search and add YouTube links directly to your questions, have a separate window for Answer Explanations, and optimize teleporting with smarter filters. 

To create a quiz using the new Quiz Editor, follow these steps: 

  1. Click on Create from the left navigation pane and select the Quiz option
  2. Name and tag the quiz appropriately. A maximum of 3 tags (of subjects are allowed per quiz)
  3. A pop-up dialogue box lists all the improved features of the new Quiz Editor
  4. Create your questions and provide answers as options. The supported formats to create questions are -
    1. Multiple Choice
    2. Poll
    3. Fill-in-the-blanks
    4. Open-Ended
    5. Draw
    6. Match
    7. Reorder
    8. Audio
    9. Video
  5. Type your question within the dialog box and add options. You can also -
    1. Edit the options
    2. Add math equations
    3. Add images to questions and options
    4. Allow students to draw their answers either on a blank white space or on an image
  6. Provide Answer Explanations, by clicking on the bulb on the right. Click on the Back arrow to come back to the question
  7. Choose the time allotted to answer a question. You can select this per question or make it consistent throughout a quiz
  8. Save the question
  9. Save the quiz once all questions and answers (along with options) are added
  10. Publish the quiz. This quiz is now available in your library to start a live quiz or assign as homework
