Join a Flashcards Session

Flashcards are a powerful way to reinforce learning, improve memory, and master key concepts through active recall and repetition. With Quizizz Flashcards, students can engage visually and practice at their own pace.

How to join a Flashcards session

Students can join a Flashcards session in multiple ways:

• Enter a join code: Go to quizizz.com/join, enter the shared join code, and type in their name
• Join via LMS: Click the join link shared through an LMS like Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or Canvas
• Scan a QR code: Use their device’s camera to scan the shared QR code
• Click a join link: Simply click the direct link to enter the session
• Access via student dashboard: Students who are assigned Flashcards through classes can find them in the Flashcards section of their dashboard

How to participate in a Flashcards session

Once inside a Flashcards session, students can:

• Flip a flashcard: Click on the card or press the spacebar to flip it
• Mark your progress:
  • Click on the 'I know' button if they know the answer after flipping the flashcard (keyboard shortcut: left arrow key )
  • Click on the 'I'm learning' button if they don't know the answer after flipping the flashcard (keyboard shortcut: right arrow key )
• Undo the last action: Click on the () undo button (or use this shortcut: ⌘ + Z or Ctrl + Z) to correct their last response (this only works for the most recent card)

Reviewing progress after a session

At the end of a session, students see their Confidence Score, which shows how many flashcards they mastered and which ones need more practice.

Next steps: Keep practicing!

Students can choose from three ways to continue practicing:

1. Revisit missed Flashcards
   • Click on the 'flashcards to learn' button to review only the ones under the 'I'm learning' bucket
     
     
     
     
2. Restart the set
   • Click on the 'Restart to practice again' button to go through the entire set once more
     
     
     
     
3. Play the quiz version (Recommended!)
   • Click on the 'Play the Quiz' button to attempt a quiz version of the flashcards and also earn 150 coins! This way, students can assess their knowledge and test their recall after finishing the Flashcard set
     
     

Where to find completed Flashcards sets

Students can access completed and assigned Flashcards sets anytime in the Flashcards section of their dashboard. They can revisit sets, track their Confidence Scores, and continue practicing to improve retention.
