If teachers in your organization are unable to install the Quizizz for Google Slides add-on, it’s likely due to app settings that allow only specific apps from the Google Workspace Marketplace. This doesn’t mean the app is blocked; rather, it may need to be added to an allowlist to permit installation.
As an administrator, follow these steps to add Quizizz for Google Slides to the allowlist:
- Go to admin.google.com and sign in with your Admin account
- From the Admin Console Dashboard, click on 'Apps' in the left-hand menu
- Under 'Apps', select 'Google Workspace Marketplace Apps' to view all apps available in your domain
- Now, click on 'App List'
- Click on 'Allowlist App'
- In the allowlist options, there are three steps:
- Select an App: Type ‘Quizizz for Google Slides’ in the search bar and select it. Then, click on ‘Continue’
- Access Setting: Change the setting to ‘Allow users to install this app’
- Select Users: Select ‘Everyone’ to allow all users to install the add-on or select ‘Specific groups or organizational units’ to restrict it to specific groups or organizational units (e.g., all teachers)
- Finally, click on 'Finish' to save the changes
With these settings, the Quizizz for Google Slides add-on will now appear as an approved app, which will allow your teachers to install and use it on their devices without restrictions.
