Are there character limits for Fill-in-the-Blank and Open-Ended questions?

Yes, there are character limits for Fill in the Blanks and Open-Ended questions. 

The Fill in the Blank question type allows your students to enter their answers either in a single input field (with a character limit of 999) or in separate boxes per letter (with a character limit of 40).

Meanwhile, Open-Ended questions tend to have longer answers. Accordingly, the character limit for these answers is 1000.  A character count is displayed to students when their answers begin to exceed 900 characters.
