Create and Assign Leveled Variants of the Same Assessment/Quiz

Quizizz now offers an exciting feature with Accommodation Profiles that allows you to create and assign leveled variants of an Assessment/Quiz! With this feature, you can create variations of the same Assessment/Quiz with different difficulty levels and a reduced number of questions for easy, medium, and hard versions — with just a few clicks! It's a great way to make sure every student gets the right level of challenge. 

This guide will show you how to easily create and set up these leveled variants, assign them to your students, and check their progress. 

Note: This feature is only available for Assessments/Quizzes related to the English subject.

Creating leveled variants of an Assessment/Quiz

1. Select the desired Assessment/Quiz from your Library section
2. Click on the  'Create +' button placed next to the 'Create leveled variants of this quiz' prompt from the Assessment/Quiz page
3. Set the number of questions and difficulty level for the new variant as desired
4. Click on the  'Create +' button
5. Once Quizizz AI generates new questions for the required variant, review the questions
6. If you're happy with the questions, click on 'Save Variant'
   
   
   
   
7. This variant will now be saved, and you will be taken back to the Assessment/Quiz page

If you want to create more variants of the same Assessment/Quiz,

1. Click on 'Manage Variants' from the Assessement/Quiz page
2. Click on the 'Create +' button located on the left-hand side of your screen under the 'Quiz Variants' section
3. Set the number of questions and difficulty level for the new variant as desired
4. Click on the 'Create +' button
5. Once Quizizz AI generates new questions for the required variant, review the questions
6. If you're happy with the questions, click on 'Save Variant'
   
   
   
   
7. This variant will be added to the list of variants on the left side of your page
8. Repeat the same steps to create more variants, or click on the trash icon () to delete a variant
9. Once you're finished and satisfied with all the variants, click on the 'Done' button located at the top right corner of your screen

Assigning the variants to your students

Once you have created and saved the required variants of the Assessment/Quiz,

1. Click on 'Start now' if you want to host the game live, or click on 'Assign' to assign it as homework
2. Set the game settings and begin creating Accommodation Profiles for your class, as shown in this article
3. After creating the necessary subgroups and assigning them the required Accommodation Profiles, you will see the variants you created for the Assessment/Quiz at the top of your screen. To assign a variant to a specific subgroup, follow these steps:
   1. Click on the subgroup
   2. Click on the desired variant of the Assessment/Quiz
   3. Click on 'Save Changes'
   4. Repeat the same process to assign different variants to different subgroups
4. Once you're done with assigning different variants of the Assessment/Quiz to different subgroups of your class, click on the 'Done' button from the top right corner of your screen 
   
   
   
   
5. Set the remaining game setting preferences, and click on 'Start' or 'Assign' to host the game live or assign it as homework, respectively

And done! Your students can now participate in respective leveled variations of the same assessment/quiz.

Once the activity is assigned, you can view the results for each participant in the Assessment/Quiz Reports page. Additionally, you can view results per each variant of the Assessment/Quiz and each Accommodation subgroup.
