You can host two types of sessions on Quizizz: Live and Assigned. On the resource detail page, select the session type you'd like to host.

Start Live

Live sessions are ideal for conducting real-time sessions with students. Once you click on the 'Start now' button, you will be prompted to select a game mode, such as Classic Mode, Team Mode, Test Mode, etc.

Select the mode that best suits your current requirements. Once you've decided on a mode, click on 'Start' to get a valid session code that you can share with your students.

Your students would need to go to joinmyquiz.com and enter the session code to participate on their devices.

Your students can participate in a live session at any time as long as it is still active. All students aren't required to join the session together at the same time. However, a session code is only active for a few hours.

Teachers also get to see a live dashboard displaying real-time scores as students attempt the Assessment/Quiz on their devices.

Assign

Assigned sessions are ideal when all the students are not available to take participate in a session live or when you want to assign a task to them on Quizizz as homework.

This mode allows you to choose a session deadline. The session code stays active throughout this period.

Once you choose the deadline and customize the remaining session settings, click on 'Assign' and share the session code with your students so they can participate in the session.
